Coatings

Although a commercial roof is one of the larger building investments made by a business owner, it is susceptible to damage and deteriorates over time. When your roof is in a vulnerable state, you should try to avoid a premature replacement and have it restored instead.

When it comes to restorations, it is hard not to mention roof coatings. Roof coatings are known to add a minimum of a decade to the life span of your existing roof; besides that there are plenty of other benefits that roof coatings offer.

A Cooler Building

Since a roof coating is reflective in nature, instead of absorbing the sun rays, it will cause them to bounce off. This reflective property will allow your commercial premises to remain at a low temperature all year long.

Reduced Energy Usage

A cooler building means that there will be less pressure on the HVAC system. As a result, you will end up saving a lot of business money as well as having a smaller carbon footprint.

Increased Energy Star Rating

Energy Star rating basically refers to the energy efficiency of a building. Since a roof coating serves to cut down your utility bills, it indirectly boosts your Energy Star rating.

Boosting Energy Star value can also be crucial if your locality requires you to achieve a certain value.

Leak-Proof Roof

When a coating is applied on your commercial roof, it gets an additional layer of protection on top of it. This prevents it from contracting tears and cracks, which can ultimately turn into harmful leaks.

Other Options

Apart from roof coatings, Beiler Premier Roofing also offers highly durable and long-standing roofing systems, in the form of single-ply membranes such as EPDM, PVC, and TPO.

EPDM

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) is basically a synthetic rubber that consists of two main ingredients, namely ethylene and propylene. This type of single-ply is ideal for warehouses, hotels, shopping centers, and universities, etc.

Apart from being cost-effective and UV resistant, EPDM offers exceptional resistance to abrasion and hail. Also, it remains flexible in cold weather and has impressive durability.

PVC

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is made up of heat-welded seams, that form a watertight seal atop your roof’s surface. PVC can be installed on your existing roof and, unlike other roofing systems, does not require the use of adhesives, caulks, or tapes.

It features impressive resistance against strong fire, winds, and chemicals. Add to this the fact that it is unaffected by exposure to microbes, like bacteria and fungi.

TPO

Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO) is the cheapest option out of all single-ply types. Aside from being naturally emissive towards UV rays and heat, it is generally white in color, resulting in a further reduction in the energy costs by the deflection of sun rays.

Additionally, TPO is quite resistant to all forms of damages, whether they are from UV rays, tearing, acids, dirt accumulation, or chemicals. It also remains flexible under seriously cold weather.

Similar to PVC, TPO can be installed on your existing roofing system.

If you wish to have any of the three single-ply types, namely EPDM, TPO, or PVC, installed atop your commercial building or have them repaired, or even replaced, you can reach out to us at 941-726-0978!
